Welcome to Crawfish’s Claw

Welcome to Crawfish’s Claw, where a retired Navy Aviation Electronics Technician will present his commentary on politics, current events, history, sports, and humor.  The Crawfish is an unabashed conservative and military historian from North Texas.  He believes in the Constitution of the United States, as written…not as liberal judges have twisted it over the decades.  Numerous times in his Navy career, he took the following oath: “I,____________, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. I swear that I am fully aware and fully understand the conditions under which I am enlisting.”  His term of enlistment may have expired, but that oath has no expiration date.

The Crawfish is a big sports fan, following the NFL, NASCAR, Major League Soccer, Major League Baseball, NCAA football, English Premier League, Italian Serie A, German Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, and of course TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.

The Crawfish is married to an active duty Sailor and is the father of two daughters.

Comments from all sides of issues are welcome here, but trollish comments, personal attacks, and spam will be deleted before they can be seen.

  1. Note that the oath says I will obey the orders…according to regulations and the UCMJ. That means I am forbidden to obey unConstitutional and illegal orders.
